On September 28, 1996, General Electric celebrated the 40th anniversary of
their Vallecitos Nuclear Center, site of the first commercial reactor.
The reactor was designed by Sam Untermyer. It was here, at this project,
that Luke Welsh (Sr) first worked with Sam.
The information on this wwweb page is non-proprietary. The text pages are from
the Valleticos Newsletter and from invitations to attend the anniversary
picnic. The photos were taken by Luke Welsh Jr. and family.
